Dr. Ralph T. Warburton began doctoring in North Canton in 1935 with his wife as his nurse. He served his nation in the Navy during World War II. But, most importantly, he had a vision of improving the health of the community with accessible medical care. In 1972, at an age when he could have been retiring, he and 4 other doctors opened a not-for-profit clinic on the west side of town – the North Canton Medical Foundation. It continues to serve the community and carry out Dr. Warburton's vision. He died in 2010 at the age of 101.
